Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Tenancy Sustainment Worker on a temporary to permanent contract or straight permanent.
The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate is £16.00 via an Umbrella Company and the permanent salary is £23,175 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have an Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last three years, drive and have access to their own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Working in an accommodation hostel-based setting supporting customers with either low to medium needs or complex needs (depending on previous experience)
Carrying out support plans, regularly developing these and monitoring progression
Supporting customers to learn skills to enhance independent living
Completing property checks on a regular basis
Attending appointments alongside customers if required
Signposting customers to additional support organisations and liaising with providers to find the best support path possible
Experience required:
Experience of creating support plans for vulnerable customers with complex needs
Previous experience working within a Social Housing environment
Experience providing practical support, guidance and advice on tenancy sustainment
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Able to work autonomously and deal with challenging situations
Knowledge of welfare benefits, housing and tenancy management
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of Housing legislation
Working hours:
37.00 hours per week
Monday – Friday on a shift rota basis working between 8:00AM – 4:00PM or 12:00PM – 8:00PM
