Job description

Our client, based in West London, is currently recruiting for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer on a Permanent contract. Our client is a Not-for-profit Housing Association that provides personalised rental housing, housing support and maintenance services.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary for this position is based between £28,000 and £30,000 per annum

The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex needs level clients and a caseload of over 20 clients. Please note the successful candidate will have a full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle

Duties will include (but not limited to):

•    Covering services in Brent, Hounslow, Ealing and Hendon

•    Working on a caseload of 20-25 clients suffering from low to medium complex needs (mental health and substance misuse) who are also homeless

•    Providing advice and guidance to your clients on how to sustain their tenancies long-term

•    Assisting clients to apply for benefits and create budgeting plans

•    Engaging clients to get involved in community projects to improve their employability

•    Supporting tenants to move on from properties and working in partnership with external agencies to facilitate the moves

Experience required:

•    Working with complex needs clients, including mental health, substance misuse and homelessness

•    Dealing with low level anti-social behaviour

•    Providing support plans and risk assessments

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

•    Knowledge of tenancy sustainment

•    In-depth knowledge of homelessness, mental health and substance misuse

•    Compliance and due diligence

Working hours:

•    35 hours per week
