Job description

 

Our client is a Homeless Charity based in East London and are looking for a Repairs & Compliance Coordinator from a facilities/ Maintenance and or property management background to join the team on a permanent basis. The position is fully office based and offers a competitive salary of between £28,700 - £32,240 per annum depending upon experience.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis and the ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults, hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years taken out within the last three years.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage daily maintenance operations and support the delivery of planned, cyclical, and housekeeping tasks using iCompleat, Salesforce, and Pyramid systems
  • Assess job specifications and contractor quotations, providing support with cost evaluation and pricing negotiations
  • Process and track purchase orders from initiation to completion, ensuring smooth workflow and accountability
  • Maintain accurate records by uploading job documentation, including invoices, certificates, and work reports
  • Coordinate contractor schedules and ensure routine checks and compliance inspections are carried out as required
  • Log and monitor health and safety issues identified during daily site inspections, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution

 

Experience required:

  • Facilities / Maintenance and or property management background
  • Experience of managing health and safety in the workplace would be an advantage
  • Experience of delivering Facilities related training, including site induction an advantage

 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Social Housing Regulatory for building management and maintenance
  • Working knowledge of UK fire, health and safety regulations
  • Working knowledge of UK health and safety workplace regulations
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Working knowledge of Building Management database systems
