Job description

We are currently working with a reputable not-for-profit organisation who are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager on a temporary contract until March 2024. This role requires you to be on site in Essex 2 - 4 times per month.

The role is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with a negotiable daily rate (depending on experience).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering an efficient and effective end-to-end staff recruitment function for all the departments; from planning recruitment campaigns, placing advertisements, undertaking search exercises, organising shortlisting and interview and selection processes, making offers of employment and undertaking vetting and on-boarding of new starters

  • Contributing to the design and implementation of the team’s key objectives and programmes of work to deliver the People & Culture Strategy

  • Developing and implementing efficient and effective procedures for managing recruitment activity at scale and at pace

  • Providing advice to recruiting managers on the design of recruitment campaigns, methods of applicant attraction, recruiting for diversity and potential, selection methods, processes and procedures, salary negotiations and on-boarding

  • Ensuring that all recruitment activity is undertaken in line with the company’s policy on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Experience required:

  • Experience of applicant attraction methods, including use of social media

  • Extensive knowledge of employment law as it applies to recruitment and selection

  • Good working knowledge of general HR administrative systems and processes

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to provide a customer focused recruitment service and gain respect from managers, staff and applicants

  • Excellent communications skills in writing and in person

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands

  • Problem solving skills

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (flexibility if needed)

  • 2 – 4 days per month on site
