We are currently working in partnership with a renowned Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Specialist Support Workeron a permanentbasis. 

This will be a full-time position (37.5 hours a week)based in Swindon, with home-to-patch hybrid working and a salary of £26,052 per annum with opportunity for progression. 

The ideal candidate will have an enhanced DBS issued within the last three years and a full UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle. 

Duties will include (but are not limited to):  

•  Facilitating outcome-focused, weekly one-to-one support sessionstailored to the individual needs of each survivor 

• Operating within established professional boundaries, employing trauma-informed approaches and best practices 

• Engaging in active listening to cultivate trust, safety, and rapport with survivors 

• Supporting individuals presenting with complex needs and challenging behaviours, while assessing and managing associated risks 

• Acting as a dedicated advocate, ensuring the voice and rights of survivors are represented and respected 

• Fostering effective partnerships with external agencies and maintain clear, collaborative communication

• Encouraging personal empowerment and autonomy, supporting survivors in making informed choices and achieving greater independence
