Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Social Housing Provider in Macclesfield who are recruiting for an Asset Surveyor on a permanent basis.
The position is due to start immediately, but the client is happy to wait for notices. The permanent salary for the role is £40,439.00 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have extensive building pathology knowledge, Section 20 experience, and working knowledge of EPCs/Stock Condition Surveys.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Delivering the Trust's asset management strategy, including stock condition and energy surveys, investment planning, performance evaluation, and option appraisals
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM, and quality procedures, including audits, pre-construction information, and risk assessments
Managing tenant engagement, including permissions, consultations (Section 20), queries, complaints, and customer satisfaction monitoring
Embedding energy efficiency in all projects, ensuring PAS2035 compliance and futureproofing for net zero carbon
Managing surveys, inspections, and projects to maintain Decent Homes Standards, resolve HHSRS failures, and ensure compliance with housing legislation
Leading project delivery, including contract management, budget monitoring, inspections, and reporting against Trust objectives
Supporting procurement, grant funding applications, sinking fund management, and data governance in line with the Trust's principles
Promoting innovation, best practice, value for money, and supporting the Trust's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy
Experience required:
Experience providing detailed Stock Condition Surveys
Experience producing EPCs, and pushing for decarbonisation
Experience with CDM and PAS2035
Experience in Contract Administration
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday - Friday, Flexible Start/Finish Times
