Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a charity, who are looking to appoint a Service Manager on a 3 month temporary contract.

This will be a full-time position based in Hertfordshire, with a negotiable hourly rate dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate MUST have previous experience as a Service Manager and a DBS on the online update service.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading on quality assurance, safeguarding, risk management, incident/complaint handling, and health & safety
  • Enforcing full compliance with CQC, HSE, Local Authority and internal frameworks
  • Ensuring the rights, dignity and wellbeing of people supported are upheld and that each person has a regularly reviewed, meaningful life plan
  • Overseeing medication safety, audits, business continuity, on-call arrangements, facilities and equipment maintenance
  • Applying policies, procedures and best practice
  • Managing budgets, income growth, efficiencies, voids, forecasting, commissioning requirements, contract changes, invoicing accuracy and tenders
  • Contributing to strategic growth and sustainability plans
  • Creating high-performing teams through strong people management, succession planning, performance and wellbeing support, inclusive practice, employee relations, and role-modelling a positive, values-led culture
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Experience required:

  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities
  • Experience working as a Service Manager
  • Level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
