Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a not-for-profit organisation based in Norfolk, who is currently wishing to extend their team of attentive staff by recruiting a Senior Recovery Worker on a temporary contract for 3 months.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable up to £19.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients who have complex needs, hold an Enhanced DBS carried out within the last 3 years and also have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting clients who have complex needs, such as drug and alcohol misuse to maintain their tenancies

  • Increasing and enhancing social inclusion by supporting service users to engage in a wide variety of community activities and organisations

  • Delivering outcomes and recovery focussed services within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE)

  • Supporting engagement in substance misuse programmes, promoting treatment adherence, aiming to reduce co-morbid drug use

  • Using a holistic and trauma-based approach to provide support to service users

  • Liaising and working with external support agencies to share learning with colleagues and provide expertise in difficult cases

Experience required:

  • Working with and supporting vulnerable clients dealing with mental health and substance misuse

  • Knowledge of welfare benefits systems and current housing legislation

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Be able to create and implement support plans

  • Ability to build and maintain appropriate and person-centred professional relationships

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
