Senior Procurement Officer
Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a prestigious public organisation who specialise in providing goods and services across the nation, who are looking to appoint a Procurement Officer to join their team.
This will be a full-time position based in Leicester, with hybrid working and a salary range of £35,484.00 to £38,157.00 per annum
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of managing complex procurement projects along with a professional procurement approach to achieve financial objectives and outcomes.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing the performance of a range of contracts and measuring supplier performance against KPIs a portfolio of procurement projects which are of risk in a designated market
Independently conducting market engagements to establish national, regional and other framework solutions
Conducting market engagements to establish framework solutions, negotiations and post tender clarifications
Setting up bid competitions for client projects including conducting negotiations, reviewing post tender clarifications, drafting acceptance letters and contract documentation, and debriefing suppliers
Preparing contract award, project briefs, business cases and procurement documentation
Liaising with the Category Manager and Practice Manager during and after projects
Developing strong relationships and leading review meetings with service providers and stakeholders
Representing and providing flexible capacity within the team, organisation and external parties
Understanding and applying the principles of transparency and non-discrimination to all procurement activity
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
Background working in framework procurement environment
Ability to deal with complex cases and provide timely solutions
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
Specific knowledge of PCR 2015
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Confidence in assessing and mitigating risks

Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
Two days working on site including Tuesdays and Thursdays
