Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Local Government in Hertfordshire who are recruiting for a Housing Litigation Lawyer on a three-to-six-month temporary contract.

This position is on a full-time contract of 35 hours per week. This organisation is offering this role on a fully remote and a negotiable rate dependent on experience.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Part of the Litigation and Governance team holding responsibility for a team of four other lawyers, allocating and conducting one to ones
  • Handling own caseload and dealing with escalated more complex cases
  • Predominantly dealing with disrepair and litigation matters including but not limited to Possession, Rent Arrears, ASB, disrepair claims Premises closure orders, injunctions, homelessness, as well as aspects of School Appeals
    • Drafting documents including, Landlords Response Letter, Letter Before Action, Claim Form, Particulars of Claim, Witness Statement, AOS, Relief from sanction

Experience and qualficiations needed:

  • Qualified solicitor, barrister or CILEX
  • Managment experince
  • Recent experience working in a local authority

Working hours:

  • Full time (35 hours a week)
  • Monday to Friday
