Job description

​We are currently partnering with a well-respected organisation within professional services based in West Yorkshire, who are recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position, with hybrid working and a salary band of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (subject to experience).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Consulting with managers from Team Leader to Partner level, on the full range of people management cases, work collaboratively with them to find appropriate solutions. This includes advising and coaching them on motivation, engagement, career progression, role changes, performance management, special leaves, change management, staff communications, salary and bonus setting and sickness absence
  • Meeting regularly with Group Heads/Function Heads in the teams this role supports, to proactively guide, coach and influence them to act on the full range of the people management responsibilities for their departments
  • Advising managers and staff on policy, process, employment law, best practice
  • Supporting regular performance reviews and the completion of appraisals and 1-1’s
  • Updating, improving and when needed co-creating/designing HR policies/procedures in line with firm strategy and employment law changes; communicate and train on these changes
  • Liaising with the Recruitment Specialist to help managers define recruitment needs and prepare business cases, carry out second stage interviews, assist recruiting managers with their final selection decisions
  • Leading a small number of specific HR projects and be part of project teams with other HR team members to progress projects derived from the HR strategy and the organisation’s 3-year plans
  • Working closely with the Deputy HR Director and the DEI Board Sponsor to help deliver activities arising from the DEI strategic plan

Experience required:

  • Three years of HR Advisor generalist experience
  • Experience working in a professional services environment

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9.00am-5.30 pm (flexible)
