Finance Business Partner
Job description
Our client, based in Central London, is currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for the Catering, Retail and Accommodation department. Our client is proud to possess a world-class reputation and has produced a diverse alumni that have gone on to win a number of prestigious awards.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis and is offering a salary package of up to £60,000 per annum, based on experience.
The ideal candidate must be a fully qualified accountant, or at least a finalist, and must possess strong commercial acumen and good business partnering experience.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
Support senior management across catering, retail, and accommodation services with day-to-day financial operations, strategic planning and timely delivery of management accounts
Lead annual budget planning and multi-year forecasting, including financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis for new initiatives
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reviews, analyse variances and provide commentary to support informed decision-making
Oversee the financial aspects of pricing strategies, rent setting and contract management, ensuring market competitiveness and compliance
Produce year-end journals and ensure alignment with financial reporting deadlines and frameworks
Conduct financial viability assessments and investment appraisals, with regular trend analysis across income and expenditure lines
Provide financial insight and data for executive-level reporting, including external benchmarking and operational performance reviews
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including other universities and service providers, to ensure robust financial management and continuous improvement
Experience required:
Fully qualified accountant
Strong finance business partnering experience
Good commercial acumen
Experience working in the Higher Education or Further Education sector
