We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in the West Midlands, who are looking to appoint a Senior Financial Business Partner on a 6-12 month contract.

This is a 100% remote position and offers a daily rate of £650 - £700, via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate will have experience within Schools and Education.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Leading the Education and Families directorate which includes schols finance

• Responsible for the distribution of the budget to the schools thorugh the DSG

• Running a team of up to 6 direct reports, with a wider finance team of 25

• Overseeing budgets and allocations to the school for DSG, SEND and general fund

Experience required:

• Experience with Children’s School Finance or Children’s Social Care

• Team management

• Collaboratove working with different departments within the organisation

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Expertise in the public sector

• Budgeting and forecasting

• Completion of variance analysis and monthy management accounts
