Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a reputable Housing Association based in West Yorkshire, who are recruiting for a Scheme Manager on a temporary 2-month contract. The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £18.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company.
The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out compliance and health and safety checks, have an enhanced DBS certificate, drive, have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of scheme manager duties.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing a support service across two Schemes alongside elderly individuals with a range of complex needs
Conducting tenancy sign ups and ensured excellent customer service to the older people’s service
Overseeing building and service standards including Health and Safety, First Risk Assessments and alarm testing
Setting up emergency evacuation plans for elderly tenants
Dealing with tenancy management issues, breaches of tenancy/leases/house rules
Liaising and working with the relevant Anti-Social Behaviour Team to deliver successful outcomes on anti-social behaviour cases
Promoting general social activities and liaising with support staff on specific support-based activities in conjunction with the relevant arrears/accounts team, to maximise rental income and minimize arrears
Conducting daily welfare checks and updated support plans Testing equipment in the schemes and updating the maintenance teams of any issues
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with elderly customers
Experience carrying out compliance checks to scheme properties
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Risk assessment and compliance checking
Organising maintenance repairs
Knowledge of the tenancy process to advise tenants
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 8:30am-4pm
