Job description
We are currently partnering with a Housing Association covering a North West London patch, who are recruiting for a Repairs Surveyor to join their on an on-going temporary basis.
This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week, with the rate of paying being £34 per hour and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Support the delivery of the maintenance service including Repairs, Voids, Planned and Cyclical works
- To be support the in the achievement of key performance targets in the region
- Maintain the quality and effectiveness of services to the association's tenants
- To deliver a local minor adaptations service, within agreed budgets
- Ensure outstanding works orders are managed as per the Operating Procedures.
- Undertake a representative sample of repairs are inspected after completion on all repairs and voids as directed
- To update Housing Management Asset System immediately following planned works installations. Databases are promptly updated following programmes of work
- Undertake Void inspection and specification in line with the Operating Procedures
Experience required:
- At least 5 years' experience of property maintenance work, preferably gained within housing, that has included undertaking, property inspection, diagnosing common property defects
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Good IT skills (intermediate Word, Outlook & Excel)
- A sound knowledge and understanding of building and health and safety at work legislation
Rewards and Benefits:
- Able to work flexible hours, including evening meetings and occasional overnight stays away from home
- 0.45p per mile mileage rate
Working hours:
- 35 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
