Job description

Our client, based in Nottinghamshire, is currently recruiting for a Repairs Scheduler on a three-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable up to £17.00 per hour via an umbrella company for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a property services or construction setting.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading the scheduling of works, to both in-house team and external contractors

  • Scheduling reactive works ranging from plumbing, bricklaying, plastering, painting & decorating, groundworks etc.

  • Liaising with tenants over the phone and via email to take down repair requests for domestic properties

  • Scheduling for Trade Operatives to complete required repairs/maintenance works and diary manage for all operatives effectively

  • Checking all jobs are completed and reschedule at the end of each day, ensuring all time slots are correct and tenants are aware of appointment timings

  • Ensuring all call back appointments are arranged to complete outstanding/defective work and reschedule any follow-on work reported by operatives on site

  • Liaising with operatives and tenants, answering any queries and resolving issues where possible

  • Providing a high level of customer service at all times

Experience/Skills required:

  • Knowledge of working within a property or construction setting

  • Experience of working within a social housing or local authority environment

  • Ability to work effectively with trade operatives and contractors

  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service

Working hours

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Thursday, 8am-4:30pm, Friday, 8am – 1pm
