Our client, based in South East London, is currently recruiting for a Repairs Manager on a 6-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £40.75 per hour via umbrella.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within social housing in a similar role and have managed staff.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Manage the day to day operations, delivering a diverse and complex range of responsive repairs and associated work streams
• Assist in managing the delivery, cost control of all voids meeting target times keep strong financial controls on budgets
• Develop the service and individuals to achieve a highly organised operational delivery
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, delivering on customer, operational and financial targets in line with the business plan
• Manage sub-contractors supporting the delivery of works, ensuring high levels of quality, satisfaction and contract administration, consistency, fairness and value for money
• Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing budgets; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions

Experience required:

• Repairs delivery experience within maintenance
• Extensive Managerial experience
• Experience with NHF Schedule of Rates

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to motivate others and lead change
• Ability to plan and organise effectively
