Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Surrey, who are recruiting for a Repairs Administrator. The position is due to start immediately.

The role is a permanent position paying up to £26,710 dependent upon experience.

The ideal candidate will previous experience in a customer service and scheduling role.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Administer CRM, Northgate, and other databases in use by the organisation
  • Provide full administrative support to Handy person service
  • Assist and support the repairs advisors during busy times as required
  • Identify and process tenant recharges where applicable
  • Establish and maintain effective systems for filing, record keeping, compile statistics, and reports for the service
  • To ensure suppliers are paid on time by carrying out all invoice and payment related administrative duties
  • Maintain systems and ensure suitable responses for correspondence and urgent service requests (e.g. complaints, MPs and Environmental Heath)
  • Accurately and prudently administer a range of payments in line with complaints processes and financial regulations
  • Work closely with contractors to follow up on repairs and in line with the partnering initiatives
  • Experience required:

  • Able to multitask whilst remaining empathetic, calm, and with the highest degree of professionalism
  • Personally confident and able to provide constructive challenge where required
  • Assertive and tenacious maintaining oversight of end outcomes required
  • Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Experience within social housing, ideally within a repairs team environment
  • Educated to GCSE or NVQ level 3 standard
  • Proven track record in a customer service role
