Area Property Surveyor
Job description
Our client, a reputable Local Authority, is currently recruiting for a permanent Area Property Surveyor.
The position, based in Hampshire, is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with a salary of £41,418 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have experience of a similar position within the social housing maintenance sector, experience of specifying and ordering works and hold a full UK Driving License.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Affecting the implementation of the Council’s policies concerning the maintenance of the Council’s Housing property portfolio
Advising, diagnosing and specifying maintenance work required to mitigate disrepair challenges
Diagnosing and specifying maintenance work required to eliminate damp and mould within the Councils housing stock
Assisting in carrying out condition surveys as part of the Council’s wider stock condition/asset management plan
Surveying, evaluating, programming, implementing, overseeing, and certifying schedules of work within the district in empty (void) properties, including quality control inspections
Affecting the implementation of the Council’s policies concerning the maintenance of the Council’s Housing property portfolio
Liaising with all other divisional staff members to ensure effective works co-ordination
Holding responsibility for the achievement of performance standards and financial targets for works within a designated area
Experience required:
5 years’ experience working in the social housing maintenance sector
Experience specifying and ordering works for the renovation of occupies and vacant properties
Experience working within a team
Experience of using the Orchard computer system
Experience in using Microsoft Office applications
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
Qualified to HNC/HND level
Ability to work under pressure
Working hours:
Monday – Thursday, 8.30am-5pm
Friday, 8.30am-4pm
