Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the East Midlands, who are recruiting for a permanent Repairs Administrator. The position is due to start immediately. The salary is £22,562 per annum plus company benefits.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a maintenance and repairs setting and ideally within social housing.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Monitoring all repair cases, including disrepair, damp and mould cases from inception to completion, escalating concerns to the Head of Asset Management
  • Managing the diaries of inhouse trade operatives and contractors
  • Reviewing and reallocate scheduled jobs to ensure all resources are utilised efficiently
  • Using the correct SoRs, raise orders and purchase orders for invoices
  • Acting as the first point of contact for telephone and email repairs and maintenance queries from tenants
  • Communicating with trades and contractors to chase up ongoing works and close of jobs
  • Handling repairs-related complaints or issues that may arise, directing these appropriately
  • Providing a high level of customer service to tenants at all times

Experience required:

  • Experience working with customers within housing
  • Experience dealing with contractors, trade operatives, suppliers, and customers/residents
  • Managing spreadsheets and running reports
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Strong prioritisation skills and ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Ability to listen and work with diverse groups of people
  • Strong ability to work alone and in a team
