Job description
We are currently partnering with a Housing Association based in the East Midlands, who are recruiting for a Rent Income Team Manager, to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client delivers housing services across the East Midlands, believing everyone deserves a safe home that meets their needs.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week with a salary of £43,778 per annum and the role is expected to start in December 2023.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Leading and motivating teams of officers to deliver a high-quality service
Offering value for money services to tenants and other customers for rent collection and arrears recovery, ensuring they have access to financial services available and can manage debt effectively
Working collaboratively and cohesively with the other Rent Income Team Manager and other managers/Heads of Service, sharing best practice and delivering a consistency in approach across the teams
Overseeing the collection of rent, service charges and sundry debts ensuring the maximisation of income
Maintaining a high-level working knowledge of court procedures for rent possession claims, money claims and enforcement processes
Liaising directly with the court and attending user group meetings as required
Responding to legislative and regulatory changes, new initiatives, or pressures internally and externally, in the housing sector that may impact on the service provided
Experience required:
Experience of managing, leading and motivating teams
Experience and understanding of income management and recovery processes including court protocols and procedures
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

Rent accounting systems and processes
CAPITA IT system relating to rent account management
