Job description
Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Rents Officer on a four-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The position requires attendance in the office ONLY ONCE A FORTNIGHT.
The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out all pre-court rent arrears protocol and demonstrable experience providing the highest level of customer service.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing rent and arrears for a geographical patch of properties
Taking payments and setting up direct debits
Providing advice on welfare benefits
Proactively working to reduce arrears in your geographical area
Liaising with housing officers to resolve any issues over rent statements
Carrying out all rent processes up to but EXCLUDING appearing in court
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good time management and organisational skills
Experience dealing with clients with complex needs
Ability to work flexibly and respond quickly to changing demands, while meeting deadlines
Experience of delivering high quality customer service
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
