Job description

We are currently collaborating with our client in the Higher Education sector who is recruiting for a Reconciliations Analyst on a three to four month temporary contract, offering a competitive daily rate.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Education sector and have previously dealt with high volumes of bank reconciliations.

 

Duties will include (but not limited to):

·         Supporting the Manager with the reconciliation of the organisations main bank account (GPB) as well as 30 foreign bank accounts

·         Assisting with the bad-debts reconciliation as well as accounts receivable control accounts

·         Interrogating the financial system, investigating and liaising with processing teams on any differences, outstanding issues or unusual balances

·         Reporting on reconciliations made, creating packs to explain data to both Finance and non-Finance staff

·         Monthly intracompany reconciliation, identification and communication of the variances to the accounts owners to solve discrepancies

·         Completing monthly intracompany reconciliations – identified and communicated the variances to the accounts owners to solve discrepancies between

·         Provided information to support the preparation and control of budgets, year-end accounts and KPIs, Internal and External Audit 

·         Supported the end to end review of processes by suggesting ideas for improvements that could benefit reconciliations

 

Experience and knowledge required:

·         Experience using Oracle 12.1.3

·         Previously worked within the Education sector

·         Solid understanding of reconciliations

·         Experience of multi-currency bank reconciliations

 

Working hours:

         35 hours per week

         Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

         Two days on site per week (Monday and Tuesday)
