Job description

We are currently partnering with a Surveying and Project Management practice based in central London, who are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Our client is proud to operate in a variety of sectors across the UK, delivering reliable advice on a national scale from a solid base of qualified and experienced surveyors.

This is a full-time position with a wide salary band of £40,000 to £60,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing both pre and post contract services, including budget estimates, measurements, valuing works on site and agreeing final account
  • Acting on behalf of the employer, issuing payment notices, instructions, requests and statements
  • Producing appropriate tender documentation to secure a robust response including reviewing design information, confirming tender lists and responding to queries
  • Undertaking post contract administration duties including issuing all necessary instructions and certificates and processing interim payment applications
  • Producing cost plans, feasibilities and optioneering & developing the cost management strategy and delivery

Experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a consultancy environment
  • Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or aiming to achieve Chartered status

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Proven knowledge of all aspects of Quantity Surveying including both pre and post contract related duties
  • Familiarity with bespoke industry software
  • Effective communication skills in a client facing role

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5:30pm
