Job description

We are currently working in partnership with an inspiring charity, who are looking to appoint a Project Worker on a 2-month contract, with the potential to become permanent. This position is based in Coventry and the rate is negotiable up to £16.10 via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate will have an Enhanced DBS issued within the last three years. Onsite parking will be provided.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Working in a 14 bed-house with customers who are ex-offenders with complex needs

  • Acting as a Key Worker to designated clients supporting the arrangement and delivery of purposeful activities for clients in line with their support plans and in line with Project budgets

  • Taking an active role in the assessment and management of risk including the operation of physical and situational security measures to control the level of risk posed to the public, staff and other clients

  • Engaging within the community to provide help and support

  • Providing support and guidance to fellow Support Workers to assist them in the safe delivery of the service, and to supporting them in spending sufficient time with clients to help them achieve the aims of their support/care plan

  • Managing regular client meetings and facilitating client inclusion

  • Providing other staff and clients with relevant advice, support and training

  • Assisting in the management of the referral process within the project to achieve agreed occupancy levels

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Knowledge on the criminal justice system

  • Supported Housing experience

Working hours:

  • 40 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday

  • 8:00am-4:00pm (flex)
