Job description

​Our client, based in West Sussex, is currently recruiting for a Project Delivery Manager role on a temporary basis for 12 months with a strong chance of extension. Our client is proud to hold a Gold accreditation with Investors in People and provide various services to around 140,000 customers across the country.

The position is due to start immediately or on notice on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within development or regeneration project teams to deliver housing projects, and be and member of relevant professional body e.g. CIOB, RIBA or RICS.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Act as lead technical client on behalf of the organisation in the delivery of new multi-tenure homes (RIBA stages 4 to 7)

  • Deliver projects to achieve the highest level of value for money (VFM) - monitoring and controlling performance against cost and time, whilst ensuring quality targets are met

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations and play a key role in ensuring integrity of fire safety ‘golden thread’ in delivery of new homes

  • Ensure development schemes meet funder’s requirements and are procured in accordance with financial regulations

  • Utilise proven experience of working within development or regeneration project teams to deliver housing projects

  • Ensure new homes are handed over with low volumes of defects and ensure effective resolutions of those reported with a customer focused service kept in mind

Experience required:

  • Proven track record in project management and negotiation

  • Up to date practical knowledge of housing development and associated procurement and construction practices

  • Good housing market and commercial knowledge

  • Excellent oral and written communications

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge/awareness of Health & Safety and Fire Safety legislation and policy

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Experience of Development project management - affordable housing (Inc. Extra Care), or market sale development.

  • Knowledge of Homes England/Greater London Authority funding procedures
