Job description

We are currently working in partnership with one of the longest-standing Housing Associations based in South East London to recruit for a Procurement Business Partner on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start based on notice and on a full-time basis, with an annual salary of £58,000 plus benefits.

The ideal candidate must have strong public sector experience and be CIPS qualified or QBE.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading the development of procurement excellence across the Group

  • Acting as the lead on Public Procurement Reform and implementation of changes

  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to deliver effective strategies

  • Supporting business areas with goods, services and works ensuring they are procured efficiently and achieve value for money

  • Developing and implementing category, procurement and contract management strategies

  • Leading high value, complex procurement projects in line with Public Contracts Regulations

  • Implementation of key policies and initiatives such as social value, sustainability, and EDI

  • Creating and implementing key processes to support the Procurement function

  • Managing and developing Procurement Managers and Officers

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Strong public sector experience

  • CIPS qualified of qualified by experience

  • Experience of developing and delivering challenging category / procurement strategies

  • Confident communicator at all levels, communicating with gravitas and diplomacy

  • Stakeholder management skills

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

  • Monday - Friday (one day on-site per week)
