Job description

We are currently partnering with a public sector organisation in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Privacy & Information Lawyer to join their growing team on a long-term locum basis, for an initial 12-months.

This is a full-time position offering circa £45 per hour, via an umbrella company (negotiable based on PQE) and they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Advising on varied Access to Information requests, complaints, and appeals to the regulator and tribunal
  • Supporting the Council’s Data Protection Officer and Corporate Information Management team in drafting UK GDPR-compliant contracts and bespoke data sharing agreements for the Council
  • Handling a range of Data Protection matters, including advising on UK GDPR, data sharing, EIR and FOI

Experience required:

  • Experience required in public sector, ideally local government
  • Experience within Data Protection/Information

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
