Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Maidenhead, who are recruiting for a Planned Surveyor.
The role is based across Berkshire and is 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9-5).
The role offers a salary of up to £44,300 per annum (plus £2,621 Car Allowance).
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Work with colleagues to procure contractors and consultants in accordance to rules
Prepare specifications and contract documents for individual projects and programmes
Ensure that all statutory requirements are met, including Construction Design & Management regulations, and that Building Control and planning requirements are met when applicable
Ensure that contracts are signed, and that statutory requirements are met, before work commences
Provide cost and project information on a timely basis to allow s20 requirements to be met in schemes with leaseholders
Manage contracts, including issuing orders, chairing progress meetings, authorising payments, and managing any delays to the programme that may occur
Produce progress reports when required and exercise overall control of the project / programme costs within its approved budget
Experience required:
Experience of writing specifications and contract
Leading the management of a contract and completion of a building or repair project
Experience managing a project within a budget
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
HNC/HND in Building Surveying, CIOB or equivalent
Knowledge and experience in current safety-related regulations and legislation
Knowledge of technical issues concerning construction and maintenance of housing
Basic DBS and valid driver’s license
