Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Norfolk, who are recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer on a temporary six-week contract. The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £24.00 per hour via an Umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have access to a vehicle, be happy to have a Basic DBS carried out, and have proven experience of Neighbourhood Officer duties.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Dealing with cases of anti-social-behaviour in line policy and procedure in partnership with the wider community and relevant statutory and non-statutory agencies
Responsible for the delivery of tenancy and estate management services for the organisation
Overseeing the allocation and letting of empty homes and management of mutual exchanges in partnership with other departments and local authorities
Liaising with the Income team to ensure that the association’s income is maximised, and undertaking visits to tenants in arrears as part of the income recovery process
Providing tenants and prospective tenants with advice and assistance with welfare benefits and other advice with a view to maximise income
Carrying out service reviews and looking at innovative service improvement projects that meet residents’ needs
Completing viewings of properties and sign-up new tenants
Experience required:
Experience in Social Housing
Working with customers within housing and offering tailored advice
Dealing with low to medium levels of ASB
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge in handling ASB cases and how to de-escalate high risk situations
Ability to complete all aspects of tenancy management
Experience with the mutual exchange process
