Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the Forest of Dean, who are recruiting for two Housing Officers one of a 2-year fixed term contract and another on a straight permanent basis. The position is due to start in the next couple of weeks, with a salary of £30,921.30 per annum and excellent benefits.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role before, have access to their own vehicle and be willing to travel, as this is a field-based role, with potentially 1-2 days week home working depending on business need.
Experience required:
Delivering a proactive face-to-face tenancy management service to our customers at key stages of their tenancy such as viewings, new tenancy visits, tenancy audits, end of tenancy visits and property inspections for mutual exchanges
Supporting the general needs tenants with any queries they may have and signposting them to the correct individuals so it minimises the impact for the tenant and the organisation
Completing home visits responding to ad-hoc tenancy enquiries and breaches of tenancy including non-access issues and property related
Ensuring that all tenants records are accurately kept and updated via the IT system
Completing property inspections as part of a targeted programme ensuring the home meets our standard and that it is safe and suitable for the customer
Delivering a responsive and sensitive service to tenants who are at risk, making referrals to the relevant agencies and signposting to any external agencies where the tenant requires additional support
Identifying and resolving low-level ASB and estate management issues that tenants may have
Working with customers where tenancy failures are identified and agree achievable action plans
