We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Devon, who are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor on a 3-6 month temporary contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate for this role is negotiable dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience completing Maintenance Surveys within Domestic council/Social Housing properties

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Dealing with the reactive and planned property maintenance requirements of the Council’s dwellings within a prescribed budget and aligned to the contract
• Completing pre and post inspections of Council properties for repairs
• Investigating repair requests, diagnosing faults and complaints, commissioning repairs and supervising them through to completion
• Preparing condition surveys to enable the implementation of the planned and cyclical maintenance programmes
• Surveying properties to identify, log and deal with the presence of asbestos based materials

Requirements:

• Experience completing maintenance surveys within domestic properties
• Full UK driving license

• Monday – Friday, start/finish times flexible, however are roughly 9am-5pm
