Job description

Our client, a leader within their field based in Sutton Coldfield, is currently recruiting for an L&D Specialist on a permanent basis.

The Annual salary is up to £35,000 with a £4,000 car allowance, overnight expenses and mileage reimbursement, along with other great benefits.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience delivering training and upskilling employees of all levels, and will be confident travelling weekly to sites across the North East and the Midlands.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Coaching line managers and team leaders with people development skills, with a focus on effective L&D processes and conversations

  • Working closely with the wider team to implement new training interventions and refine existing training based on participant feedback

  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with the wider People team to develop a consistent approach to talent management

  • Identify development gaps and opportunities based on business needs

  • Own and implement end-to-end development support plans

  • Inform and manage stakeholders on planned support and learner progress

  • Coach management to enhance leadership and management skills

  • Analyse store data and KPIs to understand areas of opportunity

  • Support managers in delivering a robust induction and onboarding process

  • Assist in delivering effective performance reviews, 1-1s, and PDPs

  • Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate quality blended learning content and resources

  • Support any other projects as directed

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Previous experience delivering training

  • Highly organised and logical approach to managing priorities

  • Able to deal with a heavy workload with conflicting priorities whilst maintaining accuracy and achieving deadlines

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and functional experience with working with HRIS

  • Skilled in engaging a diverse range of stakeholders, to build relationships that are based on trust, to work collaboratively and to resolve issues, both internally and externally

Working hours:

  • 38 Hours per Week

  • Monday – Friday, 8:45-5pm
