IT Business Analyst – Support

We’re working with a forward-thinking local authority that’s committed to improving public services through better use of technology. They’re currently looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst – Support to join their Applications & Systems Support team on a 3-month contract.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys being the go-to person for application-related support. If you’re confident engaging with stakeholders, solving problems, and ensuring business applications run smoothly and securely—this could be a great fit.

Location: Oxfordshire
Contract: 3 Months
Day Rate: £350–£400/day (Inside IR35)
What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing business-level support for key applications across the organisation
• Investigating incidents, resolving user issues, and identifying root causes
• Collaborating with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to maintain system stability
• Managing documentation, supporting change control, and coordinating testing
• Improving data reporting and supporting teams to use information more effectively
• Delivering training and user support on new features and enhancements

What They’re Looking For

• Proven experience supporting business applications in a structured IT environment
• Strong understanding of application support, incident resolution, and data quality
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Familiarity with ITIL practices or similar IT service frameworks
• A general educational background (GCSEs or equivalent experience)

Bonus Points For

• ITIL certification
• Experience with relational databases and reporting tools
• Background in public sector or large enterprise environments
• Knowledge of business analysis or process improvement methodologies
