Job description

We are currently in partnership with a London Borough who are recruiting for a Information Governance Transformation Officer on a 12-month contract.

 

This role will deliver a 12-month strategic roadmap to restore and strengthen the Information Governance (IG) function. The postholder will provide dedicated, temporary support to implement key improvements, while reaffirming the strategic, managerial, and leadership role of the Information Governance Manager / Data Protection Officer (DPO). The role will ensure the IG function is robust, compliant, and aligned with organisational priorities

 

This is a north London-based position with a hybrid working arrangement, needing to be on site with business needs. It is a full-time contract of 35 hours per week. This organisation is offering a negotiable rate dependent on experience.

 

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing the operational governance framework across the group

  • Conducting audits of legacy Information Governance documentation (e.g., DPIAs, breach logs, asset registers), identifying duplication and inefficiencies

  • Recommending and implement improved workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency

  • Designing standardised templates and tools to support consistent IG practices

  • Liaising with departments to support implementation and training

  • Providing regular updates and insights to the IG Manager to inform strategic decisions

 

Working hours:

  • Full time (35 hours a week)

  • Monday to Friday
