Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the South of England, who are looking to appoint a Housing Officer on a temporary basis for 6 months.

This will be a full-time position based in West London, with a negotiable rate up to £30.46UMB.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Housing Officer role, particularly in tenancy management and neighbourhood services, and have a Level 3 or equivalent CIH housing qualification (or be willing to obtain such).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering face-to-face tenancy management and support customers throughout their tenancy lifecycle
  • Conducting property inspections, tenancy audits, and estate visits to ensure standards are met and address issues
  • Managing tenancy changes and enforcement, including legal action for breaches and dealing with complex enquiries
  • Supporting lettings of new builds and help develop thriving neighbourhoods
  • Promote community engagement and safety, resolving nuisance behaviour and building strong local relationships
  • Safeguarding vulnerable residents by identifying needs, signposting to support, and escalating concerns
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver excellent customer service and tenancy sustainment
  • Maintaining accurate records and stay informed on relevant legislation, policies, and procedures

Experience required:

  • Cross-departmental and multi-agency work
  • Understanding of legal processes for dealing with breaches of tenancy
  • Tenancy and neighbourhood management
