Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a highly reputable education establishment, based in Birmingham, who is currently recruiting for a permanent HR Partner on either a full time or term time+ basis. The role offers hybrid working, with a salary of up to £35,000 + benefits.

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD, have public sector experience with a knowledge on unions and change management being highly desired.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing quality HR advice, guidance and support to senior stakeholders whilst consistently delivering excellent customer service and demonstrating best practice
  • Acting as the initial point of contact for all HR related queries in your allocated school/s (2 schools)
  • Advising on and overseeing the implementation of recruitment, remuneration and change management practices
  • Taking a lead role in the preparation of documentation for formal employee relations cases, such as disciplinary, grievance and capability matters, attending those meetings as appropriate
  • Managing training needs for your allocated schools, including inductions and arranging training courses on Safeguarding and health and safety
  • Supporting the other HR Partners to review, implement and develop HR policies and processes

Experience required:

  • CIPD Qualified or working towards CIPD
  • Public sector experience (desirable)
