Job description

We are currently working in partnership with an educational institutionbased in West & East London, who are recruiting for a HR Manager on a permanent basis. The position is due to start in February and the annual salary for this position is £38,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependant on experience.

 

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, carrying out safer recruitment checks as per legal requirements and Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines

  • Participating in interview panels and advising the CEO and Heads on the recruitment and selection process and best practice

  • Maintaining the Single Central Register, detailing all pre-employment checks and keeping all applicant and staffing information in line with data protection requirements

  • Providing HR support to the CEO, Heads and Deputies on grievances, capability issues, disciplinaries, probation, sickness absence and other staffing issues and procedures

  • Providing generalist HR advice to staff, including weekly drop-in sessions for staff at all 3 sites

  • Organising Child Protection / Safeguarding, Health and Safety and other essential training for staff and ensuring that these are regularly updated

 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Up to date knowledge of employment law

  • The Ability to work constructively as part of a small team

  • An efficient, self-sufficient worker, with an analytical approach

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm but potentially could be flexible
