Job description

We are currently working in partnership with an industry-leading adult charity in South West London, who are looking to appoint a HR Business Partner on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position primarily on a remote basis, but with the exciting option to visit various offices across London on an ad-hoc basis. The salary is £47,388 per annum and will see the successful candidate working hand in hand with Heads of Departments across the board.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of advising and supporting managers, a clear understanding of key employee relations principles and a proven ability to oversee multiple projects, managing conflicting priorities to deliver results on time. The candidate will preferably be CIPD qualified (or equivalent).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Working closely with Senior Managers and Heads of Departments to ensure that local services / directorate workforce strategies and management practices achieve the most effective use of resources in attaining the local service / directorate goals
  • Managing the delivery of a professional HR service to a range of managers
  • Leading on large scale, complex organisational change processes within the organisation, ensuring structural changes are compliant with legal regulations and deliver efficiencies and cultural change
  • Reviewing performance indicators and data, and to working proactively with managers to analyse this data and to apply it to a range of new and ongoing management initiatives and activities e.g., succession planning, training needs analysis, etc
  • Providing managers with professional high-quality advice and guidance on complicated, sensitive or high-risk cases where expert HR advice is needed, providing an options appraisal and risk assessment on possible courses of actions when required
  • Developing and delivering training on a range of HR policies and procedures to colleagues, reviewing and rewriting the courses

Experience required:

  • Experience required in advising managers, particularly in regard to the implementation of people management policies, procedures and terms & conditions of service

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work both independently as well as collaboratively
  • A keen sense of initiative and proactivity complimented by excellent communication and analytical skills
  • A passion for building strong and lasting relationships, establishing credibility quickly across the organisation

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
