Location: Wolverhampton (2/3 days home working)
Contract Length: Until end of March 2026
Contract Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 5.00pm (37 hours per week)
Salary: £52,565 - £55,755

We're partnering with a respected public sector organisation in Wolverhampton to recruit a HR Business Partner who will provide strategic HR leadership and high-level support to senior management across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing expert advice and support to senior managers and heads of departments on both strategic and operational HR policy
  • Delivering guidance to senior managers on organisational design and leading on change activity, including job design, service redesign, restructure and redundancy
  • Building effective and productive relationships with recognised trade unions, advising and supporting collective matters
  • Providing support to management on complex and high-risk cases, such as employment tribunal claims
  • Encouraging effective people management competencies by supporting, coaching and influencing senior management on performance management, succession planning, reward, and employee relations

What You'll Need

  • Strong experience providing HR support at a senior level within a complex, unionised environment
  • A deep understanding of employment law, organisational design and employee relations
  • The ability to manage multiple strategic and operational priorities while building strong relationships across all levels
  • CIPD qualification (Level 7 or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Excellent influencing and coaching skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
