Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a service provider to the local government based in South East London, who are recruiting for a HR Advisor on a permanent contract.

This will be a full-time position based in South East London, fully on site for the first 6 months and a salary of £34,600 - £36,500 per annum.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing own employee relations caseload including sickness, disciplinary and grievances,

  • providing advice and guidance to managers as necessary including working with trade unions

  • Helping managers to resolve sickness absence cases in a timely manner

  • Supporting managers during investigations and hearings, taking notes, report writing and outcome letters, as necessary

  • Assisting in the end-to-end recruitment process, including participating in interview panels

  • Assisting in the processing of leavers, new starters, and any other contractual variations

  • within the set deadlines

  • Supporting the HR Manager and Senior HR Advisor in relation to HR projects, processes and procedures

  • Contributing to and lead on sourcing or providing direct training

  • Consulting with payroll teams to inform them of any contractual variations within the set deadlines, escalating issues to the HR Manager where necessary

Experience required:

  • Dealing with ER casework which range in complexity

  • Overseeing of the recruitment lifecycle

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Strong administration and organisational skills

  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and written

  • Enjoys working with others and can work as part of a small team

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
