Job description

We're on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join a friendly and dedicated HR team based in Coventry. If you enjoy keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, thrive on structure, and want your work to genuinely support the careers and wellbeing of others, this could be the role for you.

 

The role will be a 6 month FTC (view to going permanent), is for 37 hours per week and has a salary banding of £26,718 - £27,631 (DOE)

 

This is a varied and people-focused position where you'll be supporting the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to payroll, while ensuring HR records are accurate, confidential, and compliant. You'll be the go-to person for maintaining systems, preparing payroll changes, assisting with onboarding, and helping the HR team deliver a responsive, professional service to staff at all levels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep employee records up to date in the HRIS

  • Manage starter, leaver, and contract change processes

  • Coordinate job adverts, interviews, and pre-employment checks

  • Track absence and support compliance with HR policies

  • Prepare accurate payroll data and respond to payroll queries

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and digitalisation projects

  • Support training and onboarding for new staff and system users

 

Experience required:

  • A solid understanding of HR administration processes

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Confidence using HR systems

  • A calm, people-first approach with great communication skills

  • A commitment to confidentiality, equality, and safeguarding

 

Working hours:

  • Monday - Friday

  • 37 hours per week

  • 5 days on site
