Job description

We are currently partnering with a Community Housing Association based in South East London, who are recruiting for a Housing Officer to join their growing team on a 3-month temporary basis.

Our client is proud to be one of the largest Community Housing Associations across London who put their residents first and who also give residents the power to have say in the way the association operates.

This is a full-time position with negotiable rates depending on experience and the start date is to start immediately.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a patch of 600 mixed tenure properties across South East London
  • General tenancy management such a viewings, sign ups, lettings and voids
  • Low level ASB management, you may be required to go to court if required for high profile cases
  • Ensure teants adhere to their tenancy agreements
  • Work in close partnerhsip with the Income Team to reduce rent arrears across the patch

Experience required:

  • Previous tenancy management experience is essential
  • Previously attended court to represent an organisation, given evidence and prepare court notes is highly desirable

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Up to date knowledge of housing and welfare legislation

  • Scope to work from home after initial training period (1 month)

Working hours:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
