Job description

Our client, a well-established Housing Association based in White City, is currently recruiting for a Housing Manager on a six-month temporary contract.

This is a HYBRID ROLE offering 2-3 days working from home.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team in excess of five persons to successfully deliver an excellent housing service for both customers and stakeholders alike.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a team of five persons including Housing Officers and Lettings Officers

  • Leading the team in providing services to a patch of 1000 properties

  • Conducting individual performance reviews in order to maximize team performance

  • Overseeing internal recruitment when the need arises

  • Enforcing standards and progressing with disciplinary action if required

  • Managing low level ASB across the patch

  • Providing Universal Credit and Welfare Benefit advice

Experience required:

  • Managing a team of at least five

  • Experience working with vulnerable women is desirable

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • A thorough knowledge of tenancy management and rent arrears recovery

  • Awareness of and ability to comply with health and safety legislation

  • Experience assisting with clients with complex needs

  • Ability to work flexibly and respond quickly to changing demands, while meeting deadlines

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 09:30-17:30
