Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Nation-Wide Housing provider, who are recruiting for a home-based Health and Safety Officer.

This role is home based however you will be required to go to site five times per month with all site visits highlighted a month in advance. While visiting sites, all travel expenses and overnight stays will be covered by the organisation.

This position is due on the 11th December and is offering a flexible day rate of up to £280 per day as a maximum. The role will be expected to last a minimum of three months with a high chance of extension.

This role is ideal for someone who has 1-2 years of Health and Safety experience and is now looking for the next step in their career. The client has highlighted there is a clear progression pathway and that this role is an ideal place to start.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing support and advice to management teams within a Housing Association setting, based on Health and Safety

  • Auditing existing Health and Safety policies and team performance

  • Playing an active role in reporting incidents and managing the accident and investigation process

  • Delivering health and safety training and inductions to staff and trade operatives

  • Carrying out HSE assessments

Requirements

  • A minimum of NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Power point

  • Full driving licence

  • TECHIOSH

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week – Ability to be made up flexibly

  • Three days a week
