Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association, who are looking to a appoint a Head of Property on a 6-month temporary contract.

This will be a full-time position based in Cambridgeshire, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and a daily rate of £450-£500 per day.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience at a ‘Head of’ level and a track record of leading service improvement within social housing.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading and managing the property team, driving improvements in performance in under-performing areas

  • Line managing a Contracts Manager (Repairs) and a Compliance Manager, to deliver a high-level property service to tenants

  • Implementing productivity tracking and management systems to monitor and enhance team performance

  • Driving KPI performance management and establishing performance disciplines for operational staff

  • Overseeing contract management, specifically for responsive and planned maintenance

  • Mapping and implementing revised processes to improve operational efficiency

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing

  • Experience working with customers within housing

  • Experience working at a ‘Head of’ level for a social housing provider

  • Experience and track record of leading service improvement for a social housing provider

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and management

  • Compliance and due diligence

  • Ability to create a climate where employees are involved, empowered and committed

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Detailed knowledge of legislation relating to housing assets
