Job description

We are currently representing a Wolverhampton based organisation who are looking to appoint a Head of Employee Relations on a 12-month contract. 

 

This is a hybrid position, offering 2/3 days p/week home working, and is a full-time role (37 hours pw)paying up to £68,528 (DOE).

 

Daily duties:

  • Managing a team of HR Business Partners and HR Advisors, providing coaching, training and support
  • Providing specialist advice to leaders on change management activity and highly complex ER matters
  • Developing and maintaining relations with managers across the business to promote high levels of employee engagement
  • Leading on the co-ordination and execution of HR change projects and ensuring they are managed correctly and in line with policies, procedures and employment law
  • Ensuring the team's legal compliance with employment legislation and case law when dealing with ER casework
  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting on ER data and identifying appropriate performance metrics
  • Updating employment policies and procedures, and communicating changes across the business
  • Ensuring line managers have access to appropriate training and development materials
  • Managing the relationship with trade union officers

 

Experience required:

  • CIPD L7 qualified
  • Proven track record in dealing with ER in a unionised environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and legislation
