Job description

Our client, based around Bristol, is currently recruiting for a Community Support Worker for a 4-months contract, as they plan to expand.

This is a full-time opportunity, 37.5 hours a week but as the role involves travelling around Bristol the client is more than happy for the candidate to manage their own diary and WFH.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults, ideally Learning Disabilities, hold an Enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years taken out within the last three years.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage a caseload of vulnerable clients effected by Autism and Complex Needs needs across South, East and Central Bristol 
  • Conducted 1:1s with your caseload and create support plans and risk assessments to fully understand their needs
  • Offering with welfare and benefits advice: How to sign up to PIP, home choice, tenancy related issues etc
  • Signposting client queries to the appropriate external agency such as the Police, Probation Services, Social Services and Local Authorities
  • They manage your caseload for a 6-months period then they get signposted. The ideal candidate must be comfortable lone working

Experience required:

  • A mindset geared toward encouragement and independence
  • Anything that shows you're self‑motivated and adaptable
  • If you have one) your driving licence and willingness to travel
  •  Our client will consider candidates from alternative backgrounds
