Finance Officer (Reconciliations)
Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a notable educational body who are recruiting for an Finance Officer (Reconciliations) on a temporary contract, initially for 4 months with opportunity for an extension.
The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate of pay is negotiable based on experience.
The ideal candidate will be an enhanced DBS holder and be AAT qualified as a minimum.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Responsible for the reconciliation of the control accounts and the payroll accounts with values of up to c. £20 million
Preparing necessary reconciliations and other required information to produce monthly management accounts and to assist the Management Accountant to produce the annual statutory accounts
Preparing all relevant accruals as and when required
Reporting on reconciliations made, creating packs to explain data to both Finance and non-Finance staff
Carried out balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations as well as produced payroll reconciliations
Supporting the end-to-end review of processes by suggesting ideas for improvements that could benefit reconciliations
Experience required:
Experience working in a reconciliations-based rose – desirable
Education experience – desirable
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
AAT – essential
CIMA / ACCA – desirable
Must be organised and self sufficient

9:00am – 5:00pm (can offer flexibility)
