Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Provider in based in Rochdale, who are recruiting for an Electrician on a temporary to permanent basis.
The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate for the role will be £28 CIS and the annual salary is £37,218 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have be qualified with both their 2391 and 18th edition and have extensive experience carrying out EICRs.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) across social housing properties in line with current wiring regulations
Inspecting, testing and certifying electrical installations to ensure compliance with BS 7671 and organisational standards
Identifying faults, defects and non-compliances and recommending or completing remedial works as required
Installing, upgrading and maintaining electrical systems, circuits, lighting and consumer units within occupied and void properties
Completing planned maintenance works and supporting reactive repairs when required to maintain safe electrical installations
Ensuring all works were recorded accurately using electronic certification and asset management systems
Working closely with tenants, contractors and housing officers to coordinate access and minimise disruption during works
Adhering to all health, safety and environmental requirements and ensuring compliance with NICEIC and housing provider standards
Assisting with the delivery of wider planned maintenance programmes and electrical upgrade projects
Experience required:
Experience carrying out EICRs
Experience working in both tenanted and void properties
Experience working to a 'first time fix'
Qualifications required:
2391 - Testing and inspecting
18th Edition
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday,
